Accessibility Statement

Robotco Inc. wants this website to work for everyone who wants to buy, sell, or service a FANUC robot, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or other assistive technology.

We aim to adhere as closely as we can to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we treat that as an ongoing commitment rather than a box we have ticked. Where we fall short, we would rather tell you plainly than leave you to find out.

What this statement covers

This statement applies to robotcoinc.com.

It does not cover documents published on other companies' websites that we link to, such as manufacturer datasheets, or the internal tools our own staff use to run the site.

What we have done

• Keyboard. Every public page has been worked through using only a keyboard, with no mouse, checking that everything can be reached and used, that you can always see where you are, that the order makes sense, and that nothing traps you.
• Screen reader. The photo galleries, all five forms, the navigation, the search, and the quote cart have been tested with NVDA on Windows.
• Color contrast. Every text and interface color is checked automatically each time the code changes, so a change that made text harder to read would fail before it reached this site.
• Automated checks. Accessibility tests run against our components continuously, alongside the code's other tests.
• Text spacing and magnification. Checked by increasing line and letter spacing and by viewing the site at narrow widths and high zoom.

Automated tools find only around a third of accessibility problems. The keyboard and screen reader work above is done by a person, and that is what this statement rests on.

A few things to be aware of

• Manufacturer datasheets. Robot listings link to FANUC's own spec sheets, published on FANUC's website and outside our control. Some may be scanned images that a screen reader cannot read. Every specification a buyer needs, including payload, reach, axes, controller, and condition, is also written on the robot's own page as ordinary text, so the datasheet is always a supplement and never the only source. If you cannot read one, contact us and we will give you the details directly.
• Reading order on phones. On a phone, the robot detail page shows the quote request section above the photographs, while keyboard focus reaches the photographs first and the quote request section second.

Browsers and assistive technology

This site should work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, on both desktop and mobile.

We have tested it with NVDA on Windows. We plan to test with JAWS, VoiceOver, and TalkBack soon. If you something else and it is not working with our website, please let us know.

What we do not use

We do not use an accessibility overlay, toolbar, plugin, or widget.

These products promise to make a website accessible automatically by adding a layer on top of it. They often do not work properly and can interfere with the screen reader or keyboard setup you already use.

Tell us if something does not work

We are committed to making this website usable by everyone, and we want to make every effort toward that goal. If you find something that is not working for you, please reach out. We would genuinely like to hear about it, and we will look into it.

Real reports are worth more than any amount of testing we do ourselves, because they tell us about problems we did not think to look for.

Please say what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened instead. If you can, tell us the browser and any assistive technology you use. It all helps, but do not let it stop you getting in touch.
